4th of July Party  I came to realize this year that though me and my husband come from rather large families no one does anything on any of the three big summer holidays so this year we changed that and held a 4th of July party. First I sent on invites that I did on my computer - I used the scroll design and filled it in with a tan color then wrote  "We the W\*\*\*\*'s of (our address)in order to form a more perfect party, establish tradition,insure family togetherness, provide beer, brats and other good things, promote a good time, and secure the blessings of life, liberty, and a day off work, Do hereby issue an invitation for a FOURTH OF JLUY PARTY!" Then time, place and duh the date. Then I jazzed it up with some border and attached a midi file of star's and stripes forever by john philip sousa and sent it via email. We had a ton of food all of which I made ahead of time and people brought a dish to pass (we provided burgers, brats, potato salad, roasted corn, dessert and drinks) I had sparklers and other not so bad fireworks for the kids and you can see the city fireworks from our house but I had the party early enough so people could leave if they wished. It was a pretty big success I think next year I will plan a water balloon fight for the kids and big kids.
