Christmas Forest Party I did this party for my son and some of his little friends in the neighbourhood in early December 2002. This was for boys and girls ages 2-5, and there were about 10 children. We bought a small artificial Christmas tree for each child, as well as enough decorations (tinsel and bows)and ornaments to decorate each of them. We set up a gazebo outdoors, and set up the "forest" under this. We decorated a big Christmas tree at the back of the forest, and then set up all the small trees on the "snow" you can buy for Christmas, in rows, with name tags on each tree. It looked really pretty, and the trees we chose were toddler height, so it really did feel like a small forest for the children. Then when the time came, each child was allowed to go into the "forest" and find the tree labelled with their name, and then take it and decorate it with the packet of decorations and ornaments we provided them with - they had great fun doing this with the assistance of their parents, and it kept them amused for some time as well. Some of the ornaments we provided were of the candy type, which also doubled as their candy intake for the party. And the "snow"? Well that came in handy for the inevitable "snowball" fights after the trees were all decorated! Ingredients for Party for toddlers (per tree): artificial tree about 23 inches high 1/3 of a strip of tinsel 4 - 6 holiday bows (the type you put on gifts and can buy large packets of) 10-15 small tree ornaments in bright colours 4 candy canes 4 chocolate ornaments And of course - the "snow"!
