For my daughters 8th birthday we had an Art Party with a Christmas Theme. Upon arrival each child received an apron with their name painted on it. In the pockets were supplies needed for the crafts and a paint palette I found at the $1.00 store. Each child got a clothes pin with a wooden snowman and magnet glued to it. (My daughter glued & painted the snowmen white before the party). Also, I found small unfinished wooden bird houses at the dollar store. We painted these houses brown a few nights before the party so they looked like gingerbread houses and added red ribbon so they could be hung on a Christmas tree. The party was in the garage and the tables were covered with wrapping paper also found at the $1 store. I had paint tubes in assorted colors on both tables. White puff paint was used to create a snow look on the birdhouses. While the puff paint was wet the kids put colorful beads in the paint to look like candy. The snowmen were also painted. Each girl got to take home their aprons & art projects!
