Christmas Party Weekend! Last Christmas we invited all my family and friends over to our house for a weekend party. It was a really good weekend to pick because it was snowing. Everyone arrived on the Saturday morning and we had an arriving lunch. We had all sorts of things including spiced apple drink and Sugar Plums. In the afternoon we went to a market in the town. We live in Germany (even though we're English) so it was a traditional German Christmas market which was really cool. We also went on a horse and carriage ride wich was amazing. When we got back we had an afternoon tea and then everyone went to their rooms to get dressed for the evening party. We had a meal with all sorts of traditional christmas food and whilst we were eating we had a choir standing at the side of the room singing christmas carols. After the meal we all went into the sitting room and we had a christmas tree celebration where my little brother put the angel on top of the tree. It was really magical because the carol singers were singing in the background and everyone cheered and clapped. After we had a disco and everyone danced. It was so fun. At about 11 we all went outside on to the patio ,even though it was absoultely freezing, and we had a fireworks display. Next day when we all woke up we had a breakfast then all the children went horse riding in the snow. It was really cold but it was worth it. When we got back we all went carol singing. At about 3 we had an amazing sunday lunch and everyone said they'd really enjoyed the weekend and how it was a weekend they'd never forget. Just before they left we gave each family a goodie bag full of christmas tree decorations from the market, marzipan sweets, a photo of the weekend which my dad printed off that morning and a gingerbread cake. If you live in germany i definetely recommend this party and if you don't then you could still have the party just not in germany and you could change bits of it. Or you could even just have the evening party. If you do have this party i hope you have an amazing time just like we did. Good Luck
