I invited about 10 of my friends and it was a sleep over so I made sure to include to bring sleeping bags in the invitation. The invitation kind of sets the mood for the party so I made it on my computer & put some carolers on the front and told them the time, place, etc... The party is after Thanksgiving so we put our tree up by then, & we put up plenty of other decorations to help set the mood. My mom makes this really good punch with Hawaiian punch, sprite & sherbet that we make every year b/c everyone always drinks it all. When my friends got there we kind of congregated a little & then ate dinner. My theme of the party was "He is our gift" (meaning Jesus) and gave everyone a little wrapped gift box with a candy cane cookie and the storie of the candy cane inside.(the red means the blood he spilled for us, the white resembles his body, and the shape of the cane made an upside down J standing for Jesus.) They really liked that! We played white elephant were everyone brings a present and you get a # and you go in that order to pick a present. I also made little holiday bookmarks with my friend's names and their meanings on them (I laminated them). When we were all fished it was about dark so we brought Santa clause hats and jingle bells w/ us and went door to door giving people the joy of Christmas, some guy even asked us if we wanted a donation. When we retuned we drank hot cocoa and ate cookies & popcorn while whatching Christmas movies. It was a lot of fun!
