Every year i host a "Formal Holiday Party". This last year i co-hosted the party with my best friend, Natalie. Our invitations we bought at a store called "It's a Party". They were really cute, red, shiny, christmas tree ornament paper cutouts, with green bows on the top. We started off the evening in my living room sitting on the couch by my Christmas tree. Everyone had fun getting all dressed up in formal wear. We had appetizers of crackers and cheese and holiday spritz. (a drink consisting of sprite and cranberry juice). After everyone was there we ate dinner. My sister was dressed as a waitress and brought out the food. We had 3 courses: 1. oranges cut into flowers with a rasberry in the middle 2. a roast, cresent rolls, and collaflower with cheese on top 3. DESSERT: my family has a tradition were we serve vanilla pudding with rasberry sauce on top. One of the people's bowls will have an almond at the bottom of their pudding. This person wins a prize, usually 5 dollars or something simple. After we ate the party really got exciting. Natlie and I had hired a limo to drive us around the area to look at christmas lights. None of the girls knew in advance and were extremely excited. My friend Natalie's dad is a professional photographer, so after the ride, he took individual and group pictures. . When we got back, we "wenbt to bed", but after my parents were asleep, ran around the neighborhood T.P.-ing people. At dawn i woke everyone up and we skipped the few blocks to my old elementary school in our pajamas. There we sat on the play-ground and watched the sunrise. This party was my best one yet and all of my friends had a blast. IU hope to do something like this next year and contine my tradition.
