Host a holiday party for the kids with a cool kid theme, such as Snowmen, Santas, Elves or Reindeer. Then plan the food and fun around it.     Invitation: Advent Calendar. Make mini christmas characters such as rudolf, snowmen, santa, ECT. Add holiday stickers to match the theme. Add a few candies to a large envelope, decorate with stickers, and mail to guests.  Decorations: Turn the party room into Santa's Sleigh, a Snowman's Winter Wonderland, a Reindeer Corral, or an Elf's Workshop.  Set inflatable Santas in the yard to welcome guests.  Greet the kids at the door dressed as Santa, Mrs. Claus, or an elf.  Cover the walls with red brick chimney or snowscape wall designs. Spray snow on windows, use stars for stencils.  Place snow globes around the room for guests to enjoy.  Create a holiday scene on angel hair snow, featuring themed characters, like bendable snowmen and reindeer.  Cover backs of chairs with giant Santa hats or snowmen. Cut out Santa's legs from felt and hang them inside the fireplace. Make or buy elf or Santa hats, or reindeer antlers for guests to wear. Give the kids jingle bell bracelets and necklaces to wear. Activities: Keep the kids busy with lots of activities and a few surprises.  Let the kids make their own holiday cards, ornaments, gifts, and gift wrap, while you supply them with themed craft materials, pens, stickers, and supplies.  Give them holiday finger puppets and let them put on a show. Play some Reindeer games, such as pitch a bull's eye, catch a nose toss, and ring the antler. Supply crafts kits and let the kids make their own reindeer headbands, snowmen, reindeer, mittens and gloves, gingerbread men, stockings, and foam ornaments. Give the kids festive bags or personalized stockings, then send them on a treasure hunt throughout the house in search of holiday toys and candies.  Let them make cookies from holidays shaped cookie cutters, then decorate them with frosting and candies. Dress up in costume and surprise the kids with a visit from Santa, a snowman, an elf, or a reindeer. Play a game of Christmas trivia and have the kids answer questions like: What were the names of all Santa's reindeer and What was Frosty the Snowman's nose made from? Food Fill them up with fun-to-eat treats.  Let the kids bake and decorate their own holiday cookies or gingerbread men.  Make snowmen cupcakes or gingerbread muffins. Let the kids assemble their own peppermint candy sundaes.  Give them holiday treats, such as Santa suckers, Santa candy puzzles, peppermint candy rings, gummy Santa finger puppets, and holiday cookies.
