Making special memories for my adopted daughter , I started an ornament swap for her and her friends at christmas. I started this tradition when she entered kindergarten. Each year an invitation was sent out with the time and date for the party. Each little girl was asked to bring a christmas ornament. Your home was already decorated for the holiday season. As the guest arrived a number was placed on each ornament and the the same number was placed in a container for drawing. Christmas Bingo is always played with small prizes given to the winners. Cookies and drinks are served. All the girls set in a big circle and the ornament swap begins! We now are working on our seventh grade christmas swap. By the time they graduate from high school they will each have thirteen special ornaments to keep. It's also fun for all the mothers to get together and visit while the girls carry on the swap party.
