I had a pass the trash party for Christmas last year and it was a HUGE hit!! The main objective of passing the trash" is for each guest to bring a BAD gift that they WOULDN'T want to get another guest ends up with it! Here are the details on how to host your own "Pass the Trash" party: INVITATIONS: the invitations don't have to be anything amazing. i just typed mine on holiday paper. On the invitation you MUST include that each guest must bring the WORST gift they can find. The point of the party is to give a gift that you wouldn't want to recieve. you don't even have to buy it!for example one guy brought a can of spam another guy brought an old G.I. Joe game. One girl went to a thrift store and bought an unbelievably creepy looking doll!! it was hilarious! just find something in your home that you want to get rid of and wrap it like an actual gift.  ACTIVITIES: As I said in "INVITATIONS each guest brings a (nicely wrapped) but awful gift to the party and the host puts a number on each one. Once every guest has arrived, the host puts numbers on slips of paper and puts them in a hat or a box or something. **you have to have a number for each guest AND yourself. so if you're having 10 guests plus yourself, you would put numbers up to 11 on slips of paper. each person draws a slip of paper and picks the gift with that number on it, then they unwrap their gifts one at a time. people can trade gifts with one another, but only if BOTH people agree to trade! In the end your just stuck with the gift that you ended up with! it's EXTREMELY fun to see what people get! DECORATIONS: If you're doing it around Christmas time, like i did, then you can do Christmas decorations, but otherwise, just get creative! I did a couple Christmas decorations, balloons, confetti on the food buffet, random stuff like that-it looked really nice :D SNACKS: I mainly just did finger foods. The party started at 6:00, so some people had eaten, some hadn't, but food depends on the time of day you have your party. I made 2 frozen pizzas (one half veggie/half meat, and one cheese.) we also had potato chips, cookies, candy, a fruit and veggie tray,and soda and water for beverages. After we played pass the trash" we went to my basement and just danced and talked about the hilarious gifts we had all recieved and it was really fun! pass the trash is a great game for both boys and girls and you can play it from the time you're 13 to the time your 100!!
