My son was born a week before X-mas so I want to make sure that starting on his first birthday and for every year after he doesn't feel like X-mas is a part of his special day. I decided to decorate our "X-mas" tree as a BIRTHDAY TREE for 1 day, complete with a bright colored tree skirt, Happy Birthday streamers, party hats, noisemakers or whatever ornaments show his interest for that year. All his presents will go under the tree and for that day he will enjoy his birthday complete with balloons, cake, etc. Then the next day we will decorate the tree for X-mas.
