Since Christmas is celebrated by all of my friends, we decided to put together a party/get together. It gets expensive buying gifts for all your friends once you are in middle school, because you meet so many new people. So my friends and I got a list of about eight people we wanted to involve in it and put their names in a hat. We went around to everyone invited and had them choose a name, and the person they got is the one they get a gift for. We call it a Secret Santa because you aren't supposed to know who has who and it is all a surprise until you open the gift. We didn't want anyone to be disapointed with what they got, so we made a price range from at least $15 to $25. This was a good price range because it isn't too cheap where everyone gets lame gifts, but it isn't too expensive. Once we got to the party, we had some appetizers instead of a meal since this was in the middle of the day. Then everyone gathered around and opened their gifts at the same time so that no one person got the spotlight. Every girl LOVED their gift! We are thinking that this next Christmas, we are going to have a White Elephant (where you don't know who it is for). Appetizer Foods we ate: Chips and salsa, Christmas cookies, gingerbread men, and wheat thins with cream cheese (very delicious). Besides just opening gifts, we went in the spa and played music and just hung out!
