Beatrix Potter Easter - For this Easter we have came up with our family party. This party is geared toward the age group 2-7. INVITATIONS: have a bunny on the front. DECORATIONS- Easter decorations, bunny balloons. Have a fence or paint a fence on paper, have vegetables about. WHAT TO DO-children can decorate eggs as they arrive. GAMES-Mr. McGregor's Garden: (like freeze tag)one person is Mr. McGregor the others are the rabbits. Have vegetables in the garden Mr. McGregor stands watch over them. At the sound of a bell the rabbits rush to the vegetables and they try to make it back to their original place. Mr. McGregor tags them as they flee. If one is caught the freeze and go back empty-handed and start again. When all the vegetables are gone. See who stashed away the most they become the victorious Peter Rabbit. And of Course Hide Easter Eggs, maybe have a few prize eggs stashed. Egg throwing contest. Egg Rolling contest. FOOD- Peter Rabbit Pears. Pear half laid on a piece of lettuce, raisins for eyes and nose, parsley for tail. cheese for ears. CAKES-3 small bunny cakes Flospy, Mopsy, and Cotton Tail. Have a fresh vegetable tray, Potato salad, Fried Chicken, and other foods to go along with theme. GIFTS- small Easter baskets for children, we purchased things from Oriental Trade to go inside the baskets from the Dollar Tree. Instead of using baskets you could use the strawberry baskets you get when you buy strawberries.
