Easter Basket Exchange - Easter egg hunts come to an end when you have teenagers. We have teenagers all that were born within three months time frame. They are getting too old for Easter egg hunts (well if that is possible). So I decided why should the kids have all the fun. So I asked every guest to Easter Dinner to bring an Easter Basket, of their choice of items but nothing big or expensive or difficult. We had 14 people and 14 baskets.
The women of the family had the best time putting there together, I figured just some candy in them, well far better than that. We had candy ones, food ones, gardening, Bath and Body and just a list of different kinds $10 gift card, home made candy soild egg (huge bigger than the Chocolate Candy Kiss sizes). We drew numbers and played gift exchange for the Easter baskets.
For any one that isn't aware of the game. The first person gets to pick, then the next person gets to steal their item or pick for the remaining items. Each person there after that can steal someones or take from the pile. However we put a two time steal on the baskets and then it is dead, meaning that person gets to keep it. This was such a hit, that we are starting a new Easter Tradition. We can either use the basket next year or keep them and get new ones. Now the challenge is on do better and have the most impressive basket.....
