We just celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday. Her birthday is around Easter, so we usually do an Easter themed party. This year we tried something different. We took an adventure to smiley land. We bought yellow balloons and put smiley faces on them. We also made a large Smiley Face with 7 smiles ( the amount of girls at the party). We made a rainbow cake, with cloud icing and a chocolate sun on top and smiley face candles. When all the girls arrived, I read them the Legend of Smiley Land(see www.funnygreetings.com/smile4.htm). We played musical chairs, hot potato, (Boiled Egg w/Smiley Face)Egg roll with nose, and Pin the Smile on the Face! The goody bags were made of smiley face material, 5x6 in. with a draw string on the top, filled with smiley face paraphernalia. The kids loved the theme and when they got upset or sad we said no frowns in smiley land and they started to smile and all was well. It was a great success!
