Halloween means it's time for carving pumpkins into Jack-0-Lanterns! Pumpkin carving is great fun and can be simple or really creative. Either way, once the have a light in them, they are really cool to see. We always recommend that you buy the non-sharp pumpkin carving tools to ensure that no one can get hurt while carving a creative Jack-O-Lantern!

Step #1 - Cut out the top of the pumpkin in a circle or hexagon.



















Step #2 - Clean out the pumpkin using a spoon. Scrape all of the seeds and pulp out so that the inside is nice and clean.  Be sure to save the seeds for roasting!  See our Halloween Snack section for instructions.

Step #3 - Draw your pumpkin's face using a felt tip marker or a pencil.











Step #4 - Carve your pumpkin. Take is slow and be careful and safe.  It's always best to use non-sharp store-bought pumpkin cutting tools.
