New Years Eve  Party with kids...  This year we decided to invite some of our friends over with their children.  Our kids are 3, 6 and 8.We had all together 12 children and their parents.I made invitations out of black card stock and gold embossing powder and stamps.DECORATIONS: First I undecorated my Christmas tree and put white lights on it and all the party hats and horns. It looked great. In my living room on the mantle I placed at least a dozen clocks and a Happy New Year Banner. Then in my boys room we decorated with balloons, banners and a centerpiece hanging from the ceiling.ACTIVITIES: Our boys bedroom has a playroom joined to it with a tv and desks. So 10 of the older children had their party in there,. My daughter and her friend had a little party in her room too. They weore pjs and fell asleep early, All the adults stayed downstairs and socialized and some played poker. In the boys room we had music, and board games were out. they watched a movie.  Some of them brought gameboys too.  we had a table set up with food and drinks for them. we decorated the table with a  black table cloth and confetti.( I also downstairs decorated my dining room table the same for munchies.) We all went outside at 9:30 for fireworks.  After that we went back in.  The kids then made icecream in one of those round balls that you pass around and roll to each other.  It turned out great. I had a tray ready before hadn with icecream dishes I had gotten at the dollor store. After that they mostly played games adn some watched a movie.  they were lall really excited but well behaved. When they arrived they each got leis to wear. TREATS. I had a basket in their room with 5 party bags. on each bag I made a clock face out of paper abd glued on each one for a different hour.  One bag per hour. At 8 they all got a watch to keep time. (Dollor store) at 9 it was glo sticks, at 10 Rock vcandy on sticks, at 11 it was Christmas crackers and at 10 to 12 noise makers. MIDNIGHT at about 10 to 12 the kids all came down and picked a hat and horn from the tree adn we did our count down together. It was so much fun. Then we all ate homemade pizza. This was my first New years eve with my kids and it was the best to date.  The adults had a great time and so did the kids.We all live close by so many people walked which worked out great for the parents who had a few drinks.
