I don't have a birthday party idea but, a Mother's Day party idea. For the past 2 years I have given a Mother's Day luncheon for all the mothers in my famiy along with friends.  I choose themes for these luncheon. The first year's theme was candles and flowers, the decoration were both candles and flowers and the party favors were scented and decorative candles.  The second year was flowers the decoration and party favor bags along with the party favors had the flower theme.  The second year I decided to do something different, we had everyone to speak about their mothers or a special woman in their lives; as well as introduce themselves, we also included the white elephant gift exchange (everyone brings a wrapped gift, you pull numbers from 1 - to how many guest that have w/a gift, you go in order of the numbers, 1st person picks a gift and unwraps it and the 2nd person has the choice to pick a wrapped gift or take the 1st person's gift, if someone picks your gift then you will pick again, this continue until all gifts are gone.) This was the first time my family had experienced the white elephant gift exchange so it was a hit.  I will be planning this years luncheon and of course my family and friends are already looking forward to it.
