Since my daughter's birthday is in December we had a New Year Slumber Party. I made t-shirts to be used as night shirts (commemorating my daughter's party) and included them with the party invitations with instructions to wear them at the party. After a few games the girls ate dinner which consisted of an assortment of hors'douvres. The girls then spent time in the hot tub and were served "Sparkling Jell-O" in plastic champagne glasses. After changing into their night shirts the girls got ready for a midnight celebration. I provided baskets full of hairbrushes, barrettes, head bands, scrunchies, ,"wild"hair ornaments, body glitter, tatoos ,body paint ,etc(anything the girls used was put in their goody bag to bring home). At midnight the girls went to the garage for their celebration. Balloons were released from the ceiling, each girl got a can of silly string to spray at each other, they got small bottles of party bubbles to blow, and they each got a sheet of bubble wrap(large bubbles work best)to stomp on to "POP". It was wild! After everyone cleaned up the sillystring we had "Sparkling" grape juice in Champaign glasses and healthy snacks. Sleeping bags were put out, a movie was put in and all fell asleep around 2:00 (Oh yea, after everyone got ready for the party I gave them wax lips to wear while I took a group shot to be used for the thank you notes for the gifts received at the party). In the morning we had a breakfast buffet of fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels, pastries and juice. The party was a great success!!
