Irish party 7 year old This was a party we did for my 7 year old sis. She takes Irish step (as do I), and I just thought it would be a good party theme, and ran with it. INVITES: My sis has the Nellie American Girl Doll, and she also has the Irish dancing outfit for her. I took a picture of the doll dressed in the little outfit, and put it on my computer. I scanned the picture and put in backround mode. The words went something like this: Look's like you're in luck! You've been invited to ____________'s Irish Step Party! Come on over on _______________ at _______________ where:___________________ etc. P.S. Please wear green. I printed it out and mailed them. DECOR: I cut out shamrocks and taped them on the walls. I also hung silver and green stremers and balloons. ACTIVITES: For the most part, it was Irish Step! I taught them some simple steps and stuff. Then we had their "Feish" (compition)in which we had everyone get up and do a step they had learned. After everyone had gone, I got up and did my recital peice. Then I gave everyone a medal, which was really cardboard wrapped in tin foil with green ribbon stapled to it. They were not actually first, second, and third, but things like "most spirit" or "most irish", etc. I wore my school shirt and shorts (nothing fancy), and everyone enjoyed it. My lil' sis's face was so cute when she did her step. Good Luck to everyone out there!
