For my daughter's first birthday I wanted to do a pumpkin fall theme since her birthday is Nov 4. I decorated my backyard and patio with haybales, pumpkins, scarecrows, and gourds. For centerpieces, I used terra cotta pots wrapped in raffia bows and filled them with apples and some with styrofoam and burlap and stuck a mini scarecrow pick in the center. I got so many compliments on the decorations. The invitations were predecorated cardstock of pumpkins, leaves and apples which I printed out on my computer. The goodie bags were brown lunch bags. I cut the top with decorative scrapbooking scissors and glued leaves and berries from my frontyard on them (Cute!!!) I also made a pumpkin cake with two bundt cakes end to end and used an ice cream cone turned upside down for the stem. The tablecloths were orange, red and yellow and fake maple leaves were thrown on my patio floor. Her pinata was a yellow shaped "1" and just glued fall leaves on it. We served pizza and cake which was easy. Candy corn was spread throughout the tables. The kids had a blast with the moonwalk and painting mini pumpkins for prizes.
