Valentine's Sweethart Bash!  For my 15th birthday, I really couldn't decide what to do! My birthday is on New Year's Day, and I usually have a Christmas related theme b-day party, but this year I got really busy during the holidays like everyone, and I had lots of Homework and projects and finals in January in the honors classes I am in, so I decided to have my party in Februaury a month after my b-day, when things calmed down a bit. Since it was February I did a Valentine's theme! I made the invitations on my computer, using print shop, and my little poem on the invites were: Sorry I'm late! My hectic schedule made me late! But please let my invitation still be true, I hope you can come to my B-day party, and make it a Sweetheart celebration too! and I put the date, and I had it the Saturday before Valentine's and the place and time, etc. At the bottom I put to dress up like a " Valentine princess" and I had a Sweetheart dress up contest! During the party, I had a Valentine theme scavenger hunt, and some thingson the list were " a white sweetheart that reads 'I love you'" and a red paper heart, a valentine, chocolate, rose, etc. SOme things on the list were very hard to find, like a heart shaped candle, you can make it as easy or as hard as you want! Some other games we played was a quiz on the History of Valentine's day. I went on a history site that gave me the history of this loving holiday and made multiple choice answer questions on the quiz. Whoever got the most right won a pair of Valentine socks! For dinner we had pizza with soda, and the water was dyed red for Vaentine's and for desert we had chocolate covered strawberries. We also did a really cute Valentine craft that I got from Oriental trading.I also made a Valentine wordsearh and crossword and whoever got the most right in 20 minutes( they were hard) won a heart-shaped candle. I also printed out 50 ways to say I love you in various languages and we all had a blast trying to pronounce them and say them to eachother! For cake, I, of course, had a heart shaped cake with vanilla ice cream. For "goody bags" everyone got a red rose and a pack of Necco swearhearts. The little thank you card on the goody bag was a Valentine that I also made on printshop that said will you be my valentine? and on the back I said thanks for coming to my party! The party was a blast! I had it from 5pm to 9:00pm and everyone had a great time! For decoration I just had red, pink, white and purple streamers and ballons all over the house, and I dectorated the tables with red and pink disposable tablecoths with heartshaped confetti on top that I got from the dollar store. I also made placecards for everone on printshop that read" Miss......." I aslo had red and pink candles as the centerpice it really was a lot of fun! Happy partying!
