You're Incredible Valentine's Party (4 year Olds): Needed a quick (one hour or less) Valentine party for my son's 4-year-old class. We decided to use "The Incredibles" as the theme, but modified it to be a "You're Incredible" party. Craft: Valentine card for Mom. Using an online coloring page website, we printed out a b&w drawing of Plastigirl ("Mom" in The Incredibles). We then typed in "Dear Mom, I think you're INCREDIBLE. Love, __________" Cut them into heart shapes, and also cut out red hearts slightly larger to paste them on. The kids colored the picture, signed their own name to it, pasted it onto a red heart, then glued sparkly pompoms and other crafty knick-knacks onto the border. Games: 1. "The Dash Dash": Dash is the name of the boy in The Incredibles who is a lightning-fast runner. We did a simple boys vs. girls relay race for this game. 2. "The Frozone Throw Zone": Frozone is another sidekick superhero in The Incredibles. We did an inside game here, based on "throwing" smiles. Sit the kids in a circle. One is chosen as "It" (ie "Frozone") to begin the game. All kids EXCEPT Frozone must put on a frown-y or sad face, while Frozone is the only one allowed to smile. He/she has 30 seconds to mug it up, trying to make the other kids laugh. Anyone who breaks even the SMALLEST smile is "out". After 30 seconds is up, Frozone takes his/her hand, pretends to wipe the smile off, puts on a frown-y or sad face, and "throws" the smile to someone else. Game continues on in a hilarious fashion, as it's VERY hard to keep the other kids from laughing. Silly game, costs nothing, needs no "props" -- and it's a hit!
